As of April 2020, Instagram will disable its current system which allows your website to show your Instagram feed. You can read more about this decision here.
We have updated our themes ahead of this announcement to avoid disruption where possible. However if you installed your pipdig theme before February 2020, this will impact any Instagram features you are using.
I have a WordPress theme, what do I need to do?
1. Update your theme via this guide. If not update is showing, please manually update via this guide.
2. Reconnect your Instagram account via this guide.
I have a Blogger template, what do I need to do?
Go to this page to update the Instagram access token in any widgets you are using.
What’s changing?
The main changes you will see are:
1. It is not possible to show the number of likes/comments unless you have an Instagram Business/Creator account.
2. The new feed does not include video posts or IGTV posts.
3. The social stats feature of our WordPress themes will update less frequently or only work with Instagram Business/Creator account.
Please note that these Instagram changes are out of our control. We’re hoping that they will re-enable such features in future. Keep an eye our for any updates!
